Friday did not start off great. I completely overslept and ended up not going skiing which always leaves me feeling guilty for the entire day as I need all the practice I can get! So I forced myself out of bed, made a cup of tea, had a little look on the Internet and low and behold there it was. An advert for a seasonal job at the Body Shop. I'd been in a week previously and been told they had hired already but would keep my resume on file, so when I saw the advert I ran down to the store and was given an interview for that afternoon. Perfect - I had no time to get nervous.
The interview was pretty awesome if I do say so myself. My boss is lovely, we just sat and chatted for like half an hour and then she got me to do a demonstration on her using products from the store. Not only did I REALLY want the job at this point, I REALLY wanted all the products I'd been describing. As someone who owns half the Body Shop already I was pretty set on doing everything I could to get this job. Low and behold I got an email that night asking me to join the team. So let's just say I was pretty happy I overslept after all.
Once again I've dedicated a post to the snowboarding lesson as it was pretty interesting to say the least. Frustration got the better of me once again, but at least I didn't cry. I think Will was grateful for that. I finally took my food test at work so that means I'm one step closer to becoming a server, so hopefully after Christmas I shall be all trained up and good to go.
I'm currently sat on the couch, with a beer, watching the hockey game waiting for Danny to arrive anytime soon. I cannot explain my excitement for him to get here after being apart for a month. I know it's not long but when you practically leave in each other's pockets and then move to the other side of the world without that person it sucks. It's going to be awesome, i can't wait!
