Skiing Accomplishments.

I'm pretty happy with how my skiing has been going at the moment. I came here with only one weeks skiing experience, on completely different terrain and I feel like I'm starting to get the hang of it. I mean don't get me wrong I still fall over heaps and do stupid things like I did today and knocked my ski off on a chairlift, but I'm getting there.

So today I managed to do a black diamond run, which is bloody awesome for me. For those of you are reading and don't know anything about skiing, the colour of the run basically suggests the level of difficulty. You start with the easiest green run and then progress to blue, red, black, black diamond and finally double black diamond. Therefore me managing to get down a black diamond run on my second week here is a huge deal, I am so bloody chuffed. One of the runs crosses the border into British Columbia, so I can now say I've been in two Canadian provinces too. Pretty cool eh!

Yesterday was just the most beautiful bluebird day to ski, the views were out of this world; you've got to see it to believe it! As strange as it sounds to all you back home, but it was super warm on the runs today as it was only minus 7. Yes i said only! I got to try out my awesome new liner gloves and mitts which kept my hands toasty warm all day, I have high hopes for when the temperature drops down to the negative 30s once again. All I need now is a face mask and I'm all set for the harsh January conditions, hopefully by which I'll be on a snowboard.
